  • Support ongoing compliance with the site's Industrial Emissions Licence (IE Licence) and associated environmental obligations.
  • Liaise with relevant regulatory and statutory bodies, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and local authorities.
  • Monitor and support compliance with trade effluent requirements and discharge licence conditions.
  • Coordinate environmental sampling, including effluent sampling and associated monitoring activities.
  • Support the management and interpretation of environmental monitoring data and reporting.
  • Coordinate environmental audit programmes and support the close-out of identified actions.
  • Identify environmental risks, concerns and areas for improvement and provide practical recommendations to site management.
  • Develop, maintain and review environmental policies, procedures, records and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain an up-to-date environmental legislation and regulatory requirements register.
  • Support environmental awareness and training initiatives across the site.
  • Provide environmental reporting and relevant performance information to management.
  • Oversee site waste management activities, including waste segregation, storage, disposal and recycling.
  • Monitor waste contractors and support effective waste cost management and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure appropriate management and disposal of returned packaging and other relevant waste streams.
  • Support compliance with applicable waste management legislation.
  • Carry out or coordinate environmental noise monitoring and assessment where required.
  • Support the management of air emissions and associated environmental compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to environmental emergency preparedness and response arrangements.
  • Work collaboratively with EHS, Engineering, Operations, Facilities and other site functions to maintain high environmental standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
