Job summary

Colas Ireland is seeking an Environmental Manager to oversee EPA licences and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 across multiple Colas sites in Ireland and Northern Ireland. You will ensure regulatory compliance, implement environmental and energy management systems, and support sustainability goals, including the ACT 2030 initiative.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering or related field.
• Professional membership (IEMA, ESAI, Energy Institute) is required.
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EPA licence compliance and prepare/submit reports.
• Liaise with EPA inspectors and manage site inspections.
• Maintain environmental monitoring (air, noise, water, hazardous substances) and waste management.
• Lead remediation efforts and manage ISO 14001 EMS and ISO 50001 energy systems.
• Coordinate environmental training, audits, and KPI reporting across sites.
