METLEN is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our Power Technologies team at the North Wall Power Plant in Dublin, Ireland. You will ensure environmental compliance and support sustainable operation of a thermal power facility, working with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and regulators.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Familiar with EPA submission and EPA online platform.
• Experience in environmental compliance within power generation or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of Ireland/EU environmental legislation and permitting.
• Experience with environmental monitoring, reporting, auditing and compliance management.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems is desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
• Effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office and environmental reporting tools.
• Familiarity with IED and emissions permitting frameworks.
• Experience working with environmental regulators.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and permit requirements.
• Monitor and manage environmental aspects of plant operations.
• Support preparation and submission of environmental reports.
• Coordinate monitoring programs and analyze performance data.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Investigate environmental incidents, non-conformances, and complaints, and support corrective actions.
• Provide environmental guidance to Operations and Maintenance teams.
• Assist in maintaining and improving EMS, including ISO 14001 requirements.
• Liaise with environmental regulators, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Support environmental improvement initiatives focused on emissions reduction, waste minimization, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
