Job summary

Twilio Inc. in a remote-first setup is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Voice Media team, owning the technical strategy for real-time media processing at global scale.

You will guide architecture and mentor engineers to deliver robust, low-latency systems that power Twilio's Voice services. You will collaborate across product, platform, and engineering teams to define roadmaps, enforce reliability targets, and champion performance improvements while advancing complex media projects

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management leading distributed systems teams.
• Deep knowledge of Voice/VoIP infra and media handling at scale.
• Strong backend and system design experience with microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of senior engineers building Twilio's next-generation media processing stack.
• Drive architecture for low-latency, high-throughput media systems.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to define technical roadmaps.
• Establish engineering excellence with code quality, testing, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers, guiding complex media processing challenges.
• Balance debt reduction with feature delivery while preserving reliability.
• Own real-time media processing systems at scale and track performance metrics.
• Align media platform capabilities with broader Voice strategy.
