Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management experience leading distributed systems.
• Strong background in Voice/VoIP infrastructure and media handling.
• Experience architecting backend services at scale with high reliability.
• Deep understanding of systems design, microservices, and cloud infra.
• Ability to trade off reliability, scalability, and new features effectively.
• Track record delivering complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience improving developer velocity using AI tools.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with real-time communications systems or media processing.
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior engineers building Twilio's next-generation media processing stack.
• Drive architecture decisions for low-latency, high-throughput media systems.
