Job summary

SSE plc is seeking an Energy Markets Business Partner (Demand) to connect Energy Markets with Energy Customer Solutions, translating complex trading and commercial decisions into clear insight and shaping optimization strategies for sustainable value.

You will collaborate with EM and ECS leaders and senior stakeholders, ensuring safety and wellbeing are integral to decisions, with a flexible first working pattern.

Qualifications

• Broad experience within energy markets and commercial/trading/risk environments.
• Understanding of ECS/Energy Markets models, customer priorities and market opportunities.
• Ability to translate complex trading and commercial decisions into clear insight.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships across EM and ECS, incorporating ECS priorities into trading and risk decisions.
• Coordinate ECS requirements within EM with clear insights into portfolio performance.
• Identify opportunities and risks across customer propositions and market models and develop practical commercial solutions.
• Support short- and long-term optimisation, hedging and decision-making for sustainable value.
• Promote safety, health and wellbeing in decision-making and team environment.
