European BEMS/EPMS Growth Lead

Job summary

Standard Control Systems seeks a Business Development Manager to drive growth in BEMS and EPMS across data centres and pharmaceutical projects. You will build relationships with end-users, consultants and contractors, and lead consultative selling of energy-efficient building management solutions.

The role requires deep knowledge of building services, energy management, and proven commercial acumen, with travel across Europe and a strong focus on delivering value to clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development or sales within BEMS, BMS, energy management
• In-depth knowledge of building controls, HVAC and energy performance
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel
• Background in controls engineering, building services or energy consultancy

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new opportunities for BEMS/EPMS installations, upgrades, and service contracts
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract award
• Engage with end users, consultants, contractors, and developers to influence specifications at early design stages
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and tenders aligned with client energy and compliance objectives
• Negotiate commercial terms and close sales in line with company targets
• Work with engineering and delivery teams to develop technically sound BEMS/EPMS solutions
• Represent the company at industry events and client meetings
• Provide accurate sales forecasting and regular reporting to senior management
