ESB Trading in Dublin seeks a Contracts Negotiator to lead negotiation and management of wholesale energy trading agreements across power, gas and environmental products. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will collaborate with traders, risk, legal and operations to ensure robust contractual terms.

The role emphasizes ESG initiatives and responsible sourcing within commodity supply chains, with hybrid working and in-person collaboration at ESB Head Office in Dublin at least two days a week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial, contractual, trading or energy market role.
• Third-level qualification in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Law or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing commercial contracts.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage contractual risk.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft 365 suite.

Responsabilités

• Lead the negotiation, drafting and execution of wholesale energy trading contracts.
• Negotiate agreements relating to Irish Power and Gas, GB Gas and Power, Carbon and environmental products where required.
• Develop and maintain expertise in industry-standard trading agreements including EFET and ISDA frameworks.
• Work with traders, legal advisors and risk teams to ensure contractual terms appropriately manage risk.
• Build and maintain relationships with counterparties across energy and commodity markets.
• Support ESG objectives and industry engagement related to sustainability in commodity trading.
