Engage People Recruitment is seeking an Energy Trading Pricing & Structuring Analyst based in Dublin or London. The role involves pricing and structuring energy contracts across Ireland, GB, and Europe, collaborating with Origination and Trading teams in both cities.

You will analyse power, gas and carbon markets, build valuation models, and present pricing recommendations to senior stakeholders. Hybrid work is available with exposure to wind/solar projects and PPA structures.

Qualifications

• Some experience in energy markets (trading, pricing, structuring, risk or market analytics).
• Solid understanding of power markets, ideally GB and/or Ireland.
• Strong numerical and communication skills.
• Experience with valuation or risk techniques (cash-flow modelling, scenario or sensitivity analysis).
• Confidence analysing large datasets using Excel, SQL or Python.

Energy Trading Pricing & Structuring Analyst

About the company

A multinational energy firm based in Dublin and London, are seeking a Pricing & Structuring Analyst to join the team.

What you’ll do

You’ll help price and structure a broad mix of energy contracts across Ireland, Great Britain and Europe, working closely with Origination and Trading colleagues in both Dublin and London.

Day to day, that could include:

• Pricing energy contracts independently, using quantitative methods to value opportunities and assess risk at both deal and portfolio level
• Analysing power, gas and carbon markets to support pricing and deal structuring decisions
• Building and improving pricing and valuation models
• Working with Origination and Trading on live deals
• Presenting pricing recommendations and deal structures to senior stakeholders

Examples of the products you could work on include wind and solar balancing agreements, fixed-price PPAs, battery storage structures (including floors, tolls and real-time optimisation), and related virtual products.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Some experience in energy markets, whether through trading, pricing, structuring, risk or market analytics
• A solid understanding of power markets, ideally in Great Britain and/or Ireland
• Strong numerical and communication skills
• Experience with valuation or risk techniques, such as cash-flow modelling, scenario analysis or sensitivity analysis
• Confidence analysing large datasets using Excel, SQL or Python
• The ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment without losing accuracy or attention to detail

Nice to have

• Experience using PLEXOS
• A detailed understanding of forward power markets
• Familiarity with contract types such as BESS tolls, floors and balancing agreements
