Job summary

Stantec Ireland seeks engineers and project managers across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, SCADA and Electrical Engineering, plus Project Management, to deliver high voltage transmission and renewable energy projects.

Key work includes feasibility studies, technical evaluations, tender documentation, design reviews and procurement support for HV infrastructure such as substations, cables and offshore wind developments.

Qualifications

• 5 years' post-qualification experience upwards.
• Level 8 minimum third-level degree in Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in HV, Transmission or Renewable Energy projects.
• Experience in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, SCADA, HV Transmission, Renewable Energy or Project Management.
• Proficiency in industry-standard engineering and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility studies, site assessments, technical evaluations and reports for transmission and renewable energy projects.
• Develop technical specifications, tender documentation and procurement requirements.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants, developers and EPC contractors.
• Manage and coordinate technical inputs from internal and external teams.
• Undertake and manage technical design reviews of EPC Contractor designs.
• Manage or undertake manufacturing inspections and test witnessing for HV systems, including FAT, PQ and TT requirements.
• Review EPC Contractor commissioning test plans, procedures and documentation.
• Support preparation of detailed designs, design reviews, technical reports, tender documentation and tender evaluations.
• Provide technical input into procurement of materials, equipment and systems.
• Support site inspections, construction supervision and project delivery.
