Job summary

The Rehab Group in Ireland is seeking a dedicated Retail Skills Instructor for a fixed-term 6-month contract, 10 hours per week, based in Carlow. You will train and develop learners under the local programme, guiding them toward vocational choices and progression into further education or employment.

Responsibilities include delivering QQI modules, maintaining progress records, and supporting learners with individualised plans in a person-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Education and Training to 3rd level standard – Youth and Community Work, Teaching or Adult Education.
• A relevant pedagogical/training qualification such as Train the Trainer.
• Experience of working in a specialized training environment.
• Experience with learners with additional support needs including intellectual disabilities, ASD, physical and sensory needs and/or mental health difficulties.
• Experience in developing and delivering QQI accredited modules.
• Experience in developing person-centered plans and transition plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the VT programme with competence in a person-centered training environment.
• Maintain records of learners’ progress and training in line with quality standards and generate reports.
• Carry out one-to-one key working and support learners’ person-centered plans.
• Use Assistive Technologies, Art, Craft, Drama, Music to support learner goals.
