Job summary

The Rehab Group in Ireland seeks a Catering and Hospitality Instructor to train Learners under QQI Level 4/5 frameworks, supporting their career and education paths. The role covers delivery of defined curricula and day-to-day management of the training programme, with emphasis on learner progression and safety.

Ideal candidates will hold a third-level qualification in hospitality or catering, QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer, and substantial experience in guiding learners in educational settings.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in the Retail, hospitality or catering industry.
• A relevant qualification - Train the Trainer QQI Level 6 as a minimum.
• Several years of experience working with Learners in education, guidance or developmental contexts.
• Ability to deliver systematic training for QQI Level 4 and 5 Catering and Hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Provide systematic training according to curricula, including QQI Level 4/5 modules.
• Instruct modules in Catering, Retail and Hospitality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage programme allocations.
• Assist Learners in reviewing experiences and planning future goals.
• Uphold Health and Safety standards and procedures.

Permanent, 36 hours per week.

Salary starting from €35,740.34 - €43,319.87, based on experience, qualifications and experience.

Job Purpose**:**

The Instructor is responsible for the training and development of Learners in accordance with the agreed local training programme specifications, together with the day-to-day running and maintenance of all aspects of the training programme. The Instructor assists Learners with additional support needs in exploring their future career and educational direction and in making realistic vocational choices with a view to progressing to further education/employment.

Minimum Education & Experience required:

• Third level qualification, preferably within the Retail, hospitality, or catering industry.
• A relevant qualification - Train the Trainer QQI Level 6 as a minimum.
• A number of years relevant occupational experience of working with Learners in educational, guidance and/or developmental contexts
• Provide systematic training according to specified curricula, with responsibility for the instruction of QQI Level 4 and 5 Catering, and Hospitality.

• Assist Learners in reviewing previous experiences and exploring future goals, using a range of occupational interest, educational and problem solving techniques
• Apply all standards and procedures relating to Health and Safety Acts and maintain the highest levels of safety
