Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Director/Senior Director of Business Development for Clinical Solutions, EMEA, to drive strategic growth and develop long-term partnerships with pharmaceutical clients. This role requires deep clinical development expertise and a consultative client engagement approach.

You will shape solutions, position IQVIA’s capabilities as accelerators for drug development, and lead cross-functional teams to win and grow large accounts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business development experience in CROs with large-scale clinical programs.
• Proven success in managing and growing strategic accounts within mid-size pharma.
• Strong understanding of global clinical development, regulatory pathways, and therapeutic area dynamics.
• Executive presence with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with portfolio-level planning, asset prioritization, and long-range forecasting.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to structure deals that balance client value with commercial viability.

Responsibilities

• Achieve individual annual sales targets across pharmaceutical clients.
• Maintain knowledge of IQVIA services for cross-sell opportunities.
• Prospect new business opportunities within target accounts.
• Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans for key accounts.
• Build long-term relationships with decision-makers and industry leaders.
• Coordinate with operations and managers to tailor solutions.
• Lead sales presentations and mentor junior sales staff.
• Utilize CRM dashboards to track progress and pipeline.
