Job summary

Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited is seeking a Business Manager for EMEA Business & Project Controls to own the operating rhythm, governance, and scalable mechanisms that enable our EMEA DCCD organisation to operate efficiently and at scale.

You will translate strategic priorities into clear actions, collaborate with EMEA leadership, and establish annual/quarterly planning, headcount governance, and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes, and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience in verbal and written communication for executive level leaders.
• Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously and driving goals to completion.
• Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders.
• 7+ years of experience in business operations, program management, construction, infrastructure, engineering or a related environment.
• 5+ years managing business operations, programme governance or similar organisational mechanisms for a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation.
• Experience establishing and operating governance and business-review mechanisms (e.g. WBRs, MBRs, quarterly reviews).

Responsibilities

• Proven experience in business operations, programme management or a chief-of-staff type role, ideally within a large-scale infrastructure or technology organisation
• Strong ability to synthesise complex information into clear, decision-ready narratives for senior audiences
• Demonstrated experience owning governance mechanisms - planning cycles, business reviews, action tracking - across multiple stakeholders and organisational levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to draft leadership communications with minimal direction
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing sight of priorities
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and driving structure where none exists
• Experience working across cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority
