Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Regional Commercial Manager to provide cost support and guidance to the Data Centre project delivery teams, ensuring cost management across a portfolio of fast-paced construction projects. The role involves collaboration with design, construction, procurement, finance and legal teams to deliver efficient data centers.

You will drive multimillion dollar projects across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, upholding frugality and high standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in project controls standards including Estimating, Cost Management, Cost Forecasting, Schedule Management, Progress Measurement, Change Management, Risk Management, WBS/CBS/SBS, Cash-Flow (VOWD), and Benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Engage and manage third party Quantity Surveyors.
• Validate construction cost estimates at various design stages.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to manage costs across projects.
• Communicate cost control goals to stakeholders.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and quantify savings.
• Assess project risks and financial impacts with the team.
• Update historical data repositories.
• Define and track cost performance metrics and monthly reporting.
• Analyze vendor proposals using benchmarking data.
• Create bid leveling documents and validate final awards.
• Implement and execute cost control, change management, progress and reporting.
• Validate construction change cost impacts and ensure timely invoicing.
• Support close-out and final payments for projects.
• Deliver results for multiple projects with clear priorities.
