Job summary

Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited is seeking a Controls Design Engineer to coordinate EPMS design standards for global data centers. You’ll collaborate with regional project managers to refine scopes and review EPMS submittals, with focus on reliability and efficiency of electrical power monitoring systems.

The role requires strong leadership, data-center experience, and the ability to drive standardized documentation across global projects.

Qualifications

Experience with fast-track project design/build or multiple significant project upgrades.
Experience working in data centers or other critical environments.
Experience with electrical diagrams, single-line diagrams, and electrical distribution systems.
Experience with industrial controls systems.
Experience with power monitoring and SCADA systems.
Experience with Modbus.
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Review EPMS design content and prepare EPMS scopes of work (SOW).
Coordinate with regional project managers to finalize project SOWs.
Review LLE submittals to ensure EPMS scope is captured.
Attend Factory Witness Tests (FWTs) and Equipment Qualification Tests (EQTs).
Create, update and maintain EPMS points lists, specs and Basis of Design docs.
Lead collaboration with construction, programmers, and MEP/ACS engineers to meet goals.
Manage RFIs and review technical vendor proposals during bid reviews.
