Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution is seeking a Transport Planner to manage day-to-day logistics for 70+ trucks across Ireland and the UK. You will collaborate with drivers and internal teams to keep deliveries on track and ensure up-to-date transport systems.

The ideal candidate has transport planning experience, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. A tertiary education certificate or diploma is preferred, with a flexible approach to hours.

Qualifications

• Previous transport planning experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form.
• Geographical knowledge of Ireland and the UK is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan day-to-day operations for 70+ trucks across Ireland and the UK.
• Coordinate with drivers, internal teams and subcontractors.
• Book ferries, flights and arrange customs documentation as needed.
• Ensure transport data in systems is accurate and up-to-date.
• Monitor deliveries to meet customer requirements.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
