Job summary

Sysco Ireland is seeking a Transport Planner to develop and coordinate multi-drop deliveries nationwide from our Dublin Distribution Centre. You will work with the Transport Department to optimise routing, driver hours, and cost efficiency to meet daily delivery demands.

The role requires transport planning knowledge, logistics experience, and strong Excel/data analysis skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transport planning and operational process.
• Experience in the logistics industry.
• Proficient with Excel and IT packages for data analysis.
• Understanding tachograph rules (EU & UK) for goods vehicles.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan multi-drop delivery routes for each driver.
• Utilise fleet to reduce delivery costs and maximise space.
• Coordinate backhaul with Transport and Depot Managers.
• Monitor driver hours and record tachograph data.
• Track daily KPIs and report costings weekly and monthly.
• Review and improve routing and delivery efficiency.
• Perform other transport related tasks as needed.
