Job summary

Great National Hotel Ballina is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our management team. The role focuses on supporting senior leaders to ensure smooth day-to-day hotel operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving revenue and team performance.

You will oversee operations across food & beverage, guest services, and standards compliance in a busy 4* environment, reporting to Deputy/Gneral Manager, with opportunities for development within the GN Group nationwide.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Duty Manager or supervisory role within a busy 4* hotel.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations and the hospitality industry.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a management team.
• Strong organisational skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel day-to-day operations and food & beverage outlets.
• Oversee food service operations across meals, functions, events and group dining.
• Ensure all food service areas are prepared, staffed, and maintained for each shift.
• Collaborate with kitchen and F&B teams to ensure service efficiency and high standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, handle enquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, HACCP, safety and brand standards.
• Lead and develop hotel teams to drive revenue and guest experience.
