Job summary

Engage People Recruitment partners with a well-established financial services organisation in Dublin, seeking a Digital Architect to shape customer, broker, and partner interactions across front-end and backend systems. You’ll design end-to-end digital journeys, lead API integrations, and guide teams through microservices, cloud, and security best practices.

About the Role

We’re working with a well-established financial services organisation going through a major digital transformation. They’re looking for a Digital Architect to help shape how customers, brokers, and partners interact with their platforms.

This role is all about designing end-to-end digital journeys and making sure everything connects properly behind the scenes — from front-end experiences right through to complex backend systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and delivering scalable digital solutions across multiple systems
• Mapping out and improving customer and partner digital journeys
• Working closely with product, business, and engineering teams to turn requirements into real solutions
• Leading on integration across APIs, middleware, and legacy platforms
• Driving best practices around architecture (microservices, API-first, cloud, etc.)
• Acting as the go-to person between digital, integration, and core system teams
• Supporting and mentoring engineers within the team

Tech / Environment

• API-led architecture, microservices, cloud-based systems
• Integration tools (e.g. MuleSoft or similar)
• Mix of modern platforms and legacy systems

What They’re Looking For

• Strong experience in digital or solution architecture roles
• Proven track record designing complex, integrated systems
• Solid background in APIs, middleware, and enterprise integration
• Experience working across both legacy and modern tech stacks
• Good understanding of security, data, and system design principles
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have
