Job summary

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Lead Architect or CTO-level technical leader.
• Strong foundation across software engineering, solution architecture and platform delivery.
• Experience delivering major digital transformation or modernisation programmes.
• Ability to stay technically involved with senior business stakeholders.
• Experience designing enterprise architecture frameworks, standards and governance.
• Practical exposure to Generative AI or large language models in an enterprise.

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Solution Architect to support my clients complex transformation programme.

This is a hands-on architecture for someone who can operate comfortably between business strategy and technical delivery. You'll work directly with senior client stakeholders, help define technology roadmaps and guide engineering teams through the delivery of large-scale modernisation initiatives.

A strong background within banking or financial services would be particularly valuable.

The Role:

• Lead the design of scalable solutions across complex enterprise environments
• Advise clients on technology strategy, platform modernisation and architectural direction
• Translate business challenges into practical and commercially viable technical solutions
• Carry out architecture assessments and develop target-state roadmaps
• Provide technical governance throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Support proposals, solution planning and early-stage technical discovery
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions where required
• Work closely with engineering, delivery and business teams to ensure solutions are implemented successfully
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to architects and senior engineers

Requirments:

• Significant experience operating as a Lead Architect, Principal Architect, Technology Consultant or CTO-level technical leader
• A strong technical foundation across software engineering, solution architecture and platform delivery
• Experience delivering major digital transformation or modernisation programmes
• The ability to remain technically involved while working with senior business stakeholders
• Experience designing enterprise architecture frameworks, standards and governance
• Practical exposure to Generative AI or large language model solutions within an enterprise setting
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams
• Previous involvement in technical proposals, solution workshops, RFPs or proof-of-concept delivery
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical ideas
• Banking or wider financial services experience is highly desirable
