Job summary

FS Technology Consulting in Dublin seeks a Senior Solution Architect to define the technology strategy and lead delivery for financial services clients. You will design scalable, secure architectures and mentor a team of architects and engineers across multiple projects.

You will interact with business leaders and IT experts, ensuring alignment with regulations and industry best practices while driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of solution architecture experience, preferably in financial services, with proven delivery.
• Proficiency in modern technologies and architectural patterns.
• Familiarity with cloud services, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of financial services operations, regulatory requirements, and FinTech trends.
• Excellent communication to interact with stakeholders at all levels and collaborate in teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for technical challenges and innovations.
• Strategic mindset to align tech with business goals and drive improvements.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft Strategic Architectural Visions: Develop and refine the overarching technology architecture strategy to support clients’ financial services business goals and digital transformation initiatives.
• Design Cutting-Edge Solutions: Architect scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that address complex business challenges and deliver value to clients.
• Facilitate Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business leaders, IT experts, and third‑party vendors to ensure a shared understanding and alignment of technology solutions with business objectives.
• Lead Technology Selection: Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance service offerings and operational efficiency.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee that all architectural designs adhere to financial regulations, security standards, and data protection laws.
• Support Project Execution: Provide technical leadership across projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of solution architecture experience, preferably within the financial services industry, with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Proficiency in modern technologies and architectural patterns.
• Familiarity with cloud services, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of financial services operations, regulatory requirements, and emerging FinTech trends.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to address technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
• Strategic mindset to align technology solutions with business goals and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience working with the Agile methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with international teams and navigating cultural differences.
• Experience negotiating with and managing third‑party vendors and service providers.
• Ability to work across various domains and systems, and willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
