Responsibilities

Lead the technical direction for DevOps, Cloud and Platform Engineering.

Improve CI/CD, Terraform/IaC and platform engineering practices.
Identify technical debt and operational risks and address bottlenecks.
Mentor engineers and develop technical leadership across teams.

DevOps - Tech Lead Dublin | Hybrid - 1 day per week onsite | Up to €120,000 + bonus

We're looking for an experienced DevOps Tech Lead to take ownership of technical direction across Cloud, DevOps and Platform Engineering within a growing technology organisation. This is a senior technical leadership role where you'll influence architecture, drive engineering standards, mentor engineers and lead cross-team initiatives, while remaining hands-on for complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical direction and strategy for DevOps, Cloud and Platform Engineering.
Act as a technical authority across AWS and Kubernetes.
Lead cross-team initiatives around scalability, reliability, security and delivery.
Define engineering standards, best practices and architectural patterns.
Drive improvements across CI/CD, Terraform/IaC and platform engineering.
Identify and address technical debt, operational risks and bottlenecks.
Mentor engineers and help develop technical leadership across teams.
Partner with Engineering, Product and Security leadership on architecture and technology decisions.
Remain hands-on with high-impact technical design and problem solving.

What We're Looking For

Strong background in DevOps, SRE, Platform or Cloud Engineering.
Experience providing technical leadership across multiple teams.
Deep AWS expertise, ideally including large-scale environments.
Strong Kubernetes / EKS experience.
Excellent Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
Experience with CI/CD, cloud architecture, reliability and observability.
Proven ability to influence architecture and engineering standards.
Strong mentoring and communication skills.
Experience at Senior, Lead, Principal or Staff level.
Formal people-management experience isn't essential - we're particularly interested in engineers who have demonstrated technical leadership and influence.
