MCS Group | Your Specialist Recruitment Consultancy is partnering with a leading fintech scale-up in Ireland to hire a Mid-Level to Senior DevOps Engineer. You will own cloud infrastructure, automation and platform reliability across two SaaS products with a small, collaborative team in a hybrid Ireland setting.

You’ll shape DevOps practices, improve release processes, mentor peers and drive high standards while solving complex problems in AWS, IaC and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a DevOps, Platform or Cloud Engineering role.
• Strong AWS experience across production environments.
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• CI/CD with Jenkins or Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Container tech including ECS and Fargate.
• Monitoring/observability with CloudWatch or Datadog.
• Experience supporting Linux-based production environments.
• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve AWS cloud infrastructure across production environments.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Automate release processes and reduce manual deployment activities.
• Support ongoing platform migration across two products.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve platform reliability.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers to improve deployment and operational processes.
• Contribute to observability, monitoring and incident response.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and raise technical standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure, security and automation.

I'm working with one of Ireland's leading fintech scale-ups as they continue to invest in their engineering function with the hire of a Mid-Level to Senior DevOps Engineer.

This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain infrastructure or respond to tickets.

You'll join a small, highly collaborative DevOps team where you'll have genuine ownership over cloud infrastructure, automation and platform reliability, helping shape how DevOps evolves across the business' two core SaaS products.

The business is looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems and taking the initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.

What you'll be doing

Location: Hybrid (Ireland)
Salary: €70,000 - €75,000 + Benefits

• Supporting and improving AWS cloud infrastructure across multiple production environments
• Building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket Pipelines
• Managing infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Helping automate release processes and reduce manual deployment activities
• Supporting an ongoing platform migration across two products
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and improving platform reliability
• Working closely with Software Engineers to improve deployment and operational processes
• Contributing to observability, monitoring and incident response
• Mentoring less experienced engineers and helping raise technical standards across the team
• Identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure, security and automation

What they're looking for

• 3+ years' experience in a DevOps, Platform or Cloud Engineering role
• Strong AWS experience across production environments
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• CI/CD experience using Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines or similar tooling
• Container technologies including ECS and Fargate
• Monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch or Datadog
• Experience supporting Linux-based production environments
• Strong troubleshooting and incident investigation skills
• Experience working within Agile engineering teams
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to make decisions and take ownership
• Someone who enjoys improving processes rather than simply maintaining them

Experience working within fintech, SaaS or other regulated environments would be beneficial but isn't essential.
