Job summary

The Montenotte in Cork city is seeking a Day Porter to join our luxury hospitality team. You will welcome guests, ensure the public areas are immaculate, assist with luggage, and provide local information and bookings to guests.

We value flexibility and a strong customer-focused approach, with opportunities to support Reception and other departments as needed. This role forms part of our MPeople team, in a premium urban resort environment.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role experience preferred.
• Experience in luxury/hospitality is a plus.
• Ability to assist guests with local activities and bookings.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Deliver the highest standard of luxury service.
• Promote the hotel’s Vision and Mission.
• Ensure areas of responsibility are well presented and maintained.
• Assist with luggage and escort guests to rooms.
• Advise on local activities and help with tickets/reservations.
• Arrange taxis and private transport for guests.
• Follow service checklists daily.
• Maintain flexible schedule within Concierge team.
• Support Reception and other hotel areas as needed.

We are now looking for a Day Porter to join the MPeople team!

Day Porter Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Consistently deliver the highest standard of luxury service
• Promote the Hotel's Vision and Mission statement
• Ensure areas of responsibility are well presented and maintained
• Offer assistance with luggage and escort guests to rooms
• Advise guests on local activities, tourist attractions and assist with booking tickets and reservations
• Arrange taxis and private transport for guests
• Follow service standard checklists on a daily basis
• Accept a flexible work schedule and maintain flexibility within the Concierge team
• Provide support to Reception, and where necessary in other areas of the Hotel.
