Job summary

Archer in Galway seeks a CyberSecurity & IT Infrastructure Lead to drive cybersecurity and compliance across the group. You will work with the Group IT Manager, shaping security policies and ensuring regulatory adherence while enabling practical security improvements.

The role offers hands-on accountability, with strategic influence and no direct team management, and involves occasional travel around Ireland as the business expands.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within Cybersecurity, IT security or a similar technical position.
• Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs and infrastructure security.
• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining security policies and documentation.
• Understanding of security and regulatory frameworks including NIS2 or ISO27001.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity across the wider group and coordinate with the Group IT Manager to enhance security practices.
• Develop and implement security policies, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the external MSP and oversee incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Provide technical ownership and strategic influence without managing a team.
