Job summary

John Paul Construction is seeking a motivated professional to lead research and development in the construction industry. The role reports to the Group Innovation Director and collaborates with Design Managers and Project Managers to embed innovative solutions across live projects.

The position requires a background in construction engineering and a genuine interest in innovation within the built environment, with experience in the construction sector.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to produce clear reports and presentations.
• Experience in a site-based construction engineering role and involved in innovation, R&D, or continuous improvement programmes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate innovations, new products, materials, construction methods, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with project teams to feed innovations into the company’s pipeline.
• Document and manage R&D activities for tax credit claims and annual reports.
