Job summary

John Paul Construction in Dublin is seeking a Project Engineer to support our on-site teams on residential, commercial and RC-frame projects. You will liaise with project managers, designers and subcontractors, review drawings, verify designs, and help enforce QA and safety on site.

The role requires a relevant degree and 7+ years’ experience with a main contractor; proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, levelling equipment, AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant third-level degree.
• 7+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience with a main contractor.
• RC frame, commercial and residential project experience.
• Proficient with GPS, robotic total stations and levelling equipment.
• Strong IT skills including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and wider team by providing technical advice on the project
• Liaise daily with the project team, design team, and subcontractors
• Perform technical verification of civil engineering designs, models, and drawings
• Implement QA procedures, including concrete pre- and post-pour checks, RFIs, and resolution of technical issues
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site
• Monitor and record materials, plant, and logistics
• Maintain accurate records and produce regular reports
