Job summary

John Paul Construction is hiring a Senior Engineer to support on a major Dublin project. You will work closely with the Project Manager and design team, review civil engineering designs, and ensure site QA and safety standards are maintained on site.

The role requires a relevant degree, 6+ years' experience with main contractor projects (high rise residential, commercial), and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and Microsoft tools. Excellent IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in a civil/structural discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in construction.
• Experience with main contractor projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and team providing technical advice on the project.
• Daily liaison with project team, design team and subcontractors.
• Perform technical verifications of civil designs, models and drawings.
• Implement QA procedures, concrete pour checks, RFIs, and resolve technical issues.
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site.
• Monitor materials, plant, and logistics; record keeping and reporting.

Requirements

• Supporting the Project Manager and the wider team to provide technical advise on the project
• Daily liaison with the project team, design team and subcontractors
• Perform technical verifications of civil engineering designs, models and drawings
• Implementing QA procedures, concrete pre/post pour checks, RFI's and resolves technical issues
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site
• Monitoring and recording of materials, plant, and logistics
• Record keeping and reporting
  

Specific Requirements

• Relevant Third level Degree
• 6+ years' experience
• Previous Main Contractor experience
• Previous projects experience on building projects such as high rise residential, commercial etc
• Excellent IT skills - knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navis works, Microsoft
