Job summary

John Paul Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for Dublin-based projects. The role involves supporting the Project Manager, coordinating with the design team and subcontractors, and verifying civil designs and drawings on site.

You will implement QA procedures, monitor safety practices, and maintain records and reports. A relevant degree and 7+ years’ experience with main contractors are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant third-level degree required.
• 7+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience with a main contractor preferred.
• Project experience on RC frame, commercial and residential.
• Proficient with GPS, robotic total stations and levelling equipment.
• Excellent IT skills with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and team with technical advice.
• Liaise daily with project, design teams and subcontractors.
• Perform technical verification of civil designs, models and drawings.
• Implement QA procedures including pour checks, RFIs and issue resolution.
• Assist in maintaining safe working practices on site.
• Monitor materials, plant and logistics; maintain records and reports.

Due to continued expansion, we are hiring a Project Engineer for Dublin-based projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and wider team by providing technical advice on the project
• Liaise daily with the project team, design team, and subcontractors
• Perform technical verification of civil engineering designs, models, and drawings
• Implement QA procedures, including concrete pre- and post-pour checks, RFIs, and resolution of technical issues
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site
• Monitor and record materials, plant, and logistics
• Maintain accurate records and produce regular reports

Requirements

• Relevant third-level degree
• 7+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Previous experience with a main contractor
• Project experience on RC frame, commercial and residential.
• Proficient in the use of GPS, robotic total stations, and levelling equipment (essential)
• Excellent IT skills, with knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office
