An experienced Construction Project Manager is required to join an established building contractor delivering projects across Leinster.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional to take responsibility for a large-scale fit-out and renovation project within a food processing facility. The initial project is based in Lusk, Co. Dublin, with responsibility for managing the works from inception through to successful handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery and programming of works, monitoring progress against agreed project milestones.
- Take ownership of the project from commencement through to completion and handover.
- Coordinate construction activities, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
- Manage and coordinate M&E installations, ensuring effective integration with building and fit-out works.
- Review and manage specified and alternative product/equipment submittals.
- Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, contractual requirements and relevant regulations.
- Prepare and issue detailed weekly progress reports covering RFIs, procurement schedules, technical submittals, programme responses, critical dates and project risks.
- Oversee subcontractor appointments and ensure subcontracted works are completed in accordance with contract requirements and specifications.
- Liaise regularly with clients, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other trades.
- Attend and lead project, management and progress meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate records and minutes of project meetings and agreed actions.
- Lead daily site/whiteboard meetings to ensure clear communication and information flow across all site teams.
- Effectively manage labour, materials and resources to maintain programme and quality standards.
- Develop strong working relationships with the client and project stakeholders while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Support the wider management team and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar construction management role, ideally within commercial construction, refurbishment and/or fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of M&E installations and M&E coordination.
- Construction-related qualification at Higher Diploma or Degree level in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Previous BCAR experience would be a strong advantage.
- Strong programming, planning and project coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project.
- Strong IT skills with the ability to prepare comprehensive project and site reports.
- Commercially aware with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to demanding deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider management team.
- Full clean driving licence.
