Job summary

SSO Personnel in Ireland is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale construction projects across multiple sites. This senior leadership role focuses on operational excellence, commercial performance, and project delivery standards.

You will lead project teams, ensure safety, on-time and within-budget delivery, and maintain strong client relationships while driving cost controls and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager in construction.
• Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, project programming, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of one or multiple construction projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with client specifications.
• Mentor Site Managers, Engineers, and project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
• Oversee project programmes, resource planning, and overall project performance.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveying to achieve commercial targets and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
• Manage subcontractor performance, procurement activities, and project logistics.
• Drive quality assurance processes and oversee handovers and close-out documentation.
• Identify risks and implement solutions to maintain progress.
• Represent the business at client meetings, management meetings, and industry events.
• Support business development initiatives and secure future projects.

Requirements
