Job summary

SumUp is seeking experienced field sales consultants to grow our merchant base in your local area in Ireland. You will walk into businesses, start conversations with owners and demonstrate SumUp’s payment, POS and software solutions.

You’ll manage your own pipeline and onboarding for customers, spending time in your territory each week. This self-employed role is commission-only with earnings that can be uncapped.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of field sales experience in relevant sectors.
• Proven ability to prospect and win new business face-to-face.
• Experience selling to small and medium businesses and dealing with owners/decision makers.
• Track record of meeting sales targets and revenue growth.
• Ability to manage a sale from first contact to close and handle objections.

Responsibilities

• Find new customers through face-to-face visits, door-to-door prospecting, and direct outreach.
• Focus on local businesses with strong payment volumes suitable for SumUp solutions.
• Ask questions to tailor payment, card-processing, hardware, POS and software recommendations.
• Manage the sale from initial contact through demonstrations, objections and closing.
• Help customers set up and start using SumUp products.
• Build relationships with business owners and seek referrals from satisfied customers.
• Plan visits and follow-ups to optimize territory activity.
• Keep CRM records up to date and track pipeline and results.
• Review progress with your Territory Manager and apply feedback.
