Job summary

Ballymaloe House in County Cork is seeking experienced Commis Chefs to join our kitchen team. A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role is required, with a passion for food and cooking.

You'll work with locally sourced ingredients and seasonal recipes, learning under senior chefs while upholding our farm-to-table philosophy in a supportive, creative environment. We offer meals on duty, staff parking and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Legally eligible to work in Ireland. No employment permit sponsorship.
• Experience with hygiene and HACCP practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation across sections.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure smooth kitchen operation.
• Learn and execute recipes based on seasonal ingredients with senior chefs guidance.
• Adhere to health & safety procedures.
• Wrap unused items and store them properly at end of shift.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen after service.
