Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is hiring for a backend-focused engineer near Dublin. You will design, build, and maintain large-scale services that power the Kestrel UI backbone, collaborating with multiple back-end and UI teams to deliver robust features.

The role emphasizes on-call duties, architecture improvements, and a strong drive toward production-grade code. Hybrid work is available with a Dublin office plan in the mid term.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience.
• The ability to scale backend systems – sharding, partitioning, scaling horizontally are second nature to you.
• The desire to ship code and the love of seeing your bits run in production.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• Strong engineering practices from testing to peer reviews and resilient architecture.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, test-driven environments.
• Experience using AI to enhance decision-making and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale services.
• Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.
• Triage system issues and debug by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on service operations.
• Mentor other engineers on web and backend engineers on use of our feature services.
• Constantly re-evaluate our products to improve architecture, testing coverage, knowledge models, user experience, performance, observability and stability.
• Partner with product teams in understanding their needs, document requirements, and implement new features within our services.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities for sustainment and maximizing service availability.
