Job summary

Talbot Hotel Stillorgan in Stillorgan, Co. Dublin, seeks a Chef de Partie to assist the Head Chef in preparing and presenting food for designated areas, while maintaining the Talbot Collection's high standards.

You will work with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to foster a positive kitchen environment, learn menu costing, HACCP controls, and contribute to achieving budgeted gross profit. This role requires weekend work and offers training and development within an award-winning team.

Qualifications

• Friendly and professional work attitude.
• Fluent English written and spoken.
• Available to work variable shifts.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Previous experience not required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and presentation of all food for designated areas.
• Maintain the high standards of cookery as laid down by the company.
• Work with Head Chef and Sous Chef to create a positive kitchen environment.
• Assist in menu review and costing.
• Order hotel's food requirements in Head Chef and Sous Chef's absence or when directed.
• Demonstrate excellent personal hygiene.
• Assist in achieving best gross profit levels and control wastage.
• Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen and adherence to policies.
• Assist with HACCP controls and related paperwork.
• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef in training plans and records.
• Control storage of food and assist in stock control.
• Follow HR policies and ensure duties are carried out per procedures.
• Monitor staff on duty to ensure duties are performed.
