Job summary

Avista is seeking a Care Assistant for St. Joseph's Centre - Day Service, Clonsilla. This permanent, part-time role (35 HPW) offers a salary between €34,881 and €48,434 (LSI).

The position requires an Irish driving licence, ability to drive service vehicles, and a genuine commitment to supporting people with intellectual disabilities in a community setting. Essential

• Minimum of Fully Completed FETAC/QQI level 5 in Healthcare qualification or (higher) equivalent comparable qualification.


• Full clean manual Irish driving licence.


• Requirement to drive service vehicles.


• Proficiency in the English language.


• Desire to support people to live their best lives and commitment to promoting the active engagement and participation in their local communities.


• Experience working within the area of intellectual disability.


• Knowledge of New Directions *Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
