Qualifications

As part of continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Engineer to join their Bid Team in a permanent office-based role.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction or Civil Engineer who is looking to transition from a site-based position into a permanent office-based Bid / Pre-Construction role.

You will work as part of an experienced Bid Team, using your technical construction knowledge to develop high-quality tender submissions and proposals for major projects.

The role would suit someone with strong technical knowledge who enjoys producing detailed written submissions, reviewing tender requirements and developing construction methodologies and programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation, specifications and requirements in detail.
• Develop technically robust tender submissions and proposals.
• Prepare construction methodologies and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the development of project programmes and sequencing.
• Produce clear, accurate and professional written content for tender submissions.
• Work closely with Estimating, Planning, Engineering and Pre-Construction teams.
• Contribute technical and construction expertise to bid strategies.
• Identify project requirements, risks and opportunities during the tender process.
• Ensure submissions are completed to a high standard and within strict deadlines.
• Assist with the preparation of presentations and supporting bid documentation.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the tender process.

Requirements

• Relevant third-level degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience within the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery.
• Good understanding of construction programming and sequencing.
• Excellent written and technical communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex tender documentation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider Bid Team.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.
