Job summary

Pivotal Recruitment Limited is partnered with a leading Tier 1 main building contractor in Galway seeking a Bid / Proposals Engineer. The role focuses on developing high-quality tender submissions and pre-construction planning in a permanent, office-based environment.

You will review tender documents, craft robust methodologies, and collaborate with Estimating, Planning and Engineering teams to win major projects while ensuring accuracy and deadlines.

Qualifications

• This role requires a relevant civil/engineering degree and strong technical writing abilities.
• Experience with construction tendering and bid documentation is preferred.
• Ability to interpret complex tender documents and develop robust methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Review tender docs, specs, and requirements in detail.
• Develop technically robust tender submissions and proposals.
• Prepare construction methodologies and supporting docs.
• Assist with project programmes and sequencing.
• Produce clear written content for tender submissions.
• Collaborate with Estimating, Planning, Engineering and Pre-Construction teams.
• Contribute technical expertise to bid strategies.
• Identify project requirements, risks and opportunities during tender.
• Ensure submissions meet high standards and deadlines.
• Assist with presentations and bid documentation.
