Responsibilities

• Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as bread, sourdough, cakes and patisserie products.
• Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure quality and food safety; developing new recipes and products.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of bread making.
• Prepare, bake and finish products to a high standard using traditional artisanal methods.
• Ability to cut and shape dough by hand.

Zagros Food Company Limited T/A Lapis Café & Bakery at 30 Princes Street, Cork is looking for 2 bakers to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional with a passion for quality food and creativity. You will be responsible for baking with fresh ingredients, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, and maintaining a well-organised, efficient kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as bake bread, sour dough,cakes and patisserie products etc.
• Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls, develop new recipes and products.
• Good knowledge of bread making required.
• Prepare, bake and finish products to a high standard, while using traditional artisanal methods to ensure only the finest quality products leave our bakery.
• Ability to cut and shape by hand.

Requirements

Salary: €36,606 per annum.

Hours: 39 hours per week.
