Job summary

Kavanaghs SuperValu Barna and Moycullen are seeking an experienced baker to ensure the Bakery Department operates efficiently and delivers high-quality products with excellent customer service. The role requires bakery experience, HACCP knowledge, and a qualification in bakery or progress towards one.

The position is full-time and permanent, with opportunities to contribute to in-store initiatives. A reliable commute or relocation to the store area is needed, and availability for 5 days per week

Main purpose of the role:Ensure the Bakery Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times. Provide our customers with excellent quality products and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Previous food preparation and production experience is desirable
  
• Qualified baker is a distinct advantage
  
• Creative and able to embrace new recipes
  
• Ability to engage with and prioritise customer needs
  
• Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible
  
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  Main duties:
  

• Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative
  
• Bake and finish products to the highest standard
  
• Drive sales through instore initiatives
  
• Merchandise and present the Bakery department to the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines
  
• Adhere to weekly stocktaking and daily waste procedures in the Bakery
  
• Adhere to production planning and batch control guidelines for bakery products
  
• Conduct quality and freshness checks
  
• Attend relevant training as required and implement learnings in store.

About the locality:

We are currently recruiting forExperienced Bakersat Kavanaghs SuperValu in our Barna and Moycullen stores.

We`re looking for committed and skilled Bakers to join our growing team in a full-time, long-term role. This position offers stability, a collaborative environment, and the chance to make a real impact.

Must have a proven track record of Bakery experience/skills or related roles, 1-2yrs minimum experience preferred . Must hold a qualification in bakery or working towards completing a qualification or similar experience.

Knowledge of HACCP & SOP`s, Food safety & relevant training.

Reliably commute or plan to relocate to our store before commencing employment.

Must be available to work 5 days per week on a permanent basis& commence ASAP.

Candidates must be available to work full time flexible hours
