Qualifications

The Opportunity

As Audit Director, you will take a senior leadership role within the Cork audit team.

You will manage a portfolio of audit clients, lead client relationships, support team development and work closely with Partners on growth strategy, operational improvement and wider business development.

This role would suit an ambitious Audit Director, Associate Director or experienced Senior Manager who wants a genuine platform to progress towards Partner.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of audit clients across Cork and the wider Munster market.
• Act as a trusted adviser to business owners, finance leaders and senior client stakeholders.
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Review audit files, technical accounting matters and key risk areas.
• Lead, mentor and develop audit managers, seniors and trainees.
• Support the continued growth and development of the Cork audit team.
• Work closely with Partners on client relationship management and business development.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships across audit, accounts, advisory and wider firm services.
• Drive process improvement, quality standards and efficient audit delivery.
• Play a key role in strategic planning, team structure and long‑term growth of the audit offering.

Your Background

• Experienced audit professional operating at Director, Associate Director or strong Senior Manager level.
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong audit experience gained within practice or professional services.
• Experience managing audit portfolios and leading client relationships.
• Strong technical knowledge across audit, accounting standards and compliance.
• Confident reviewing audit files and advising on key technical matters.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop teams.
• Commercially minded with an interest in business development and practice growth.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with business owners, finance directors and senior stakeholders.
• Ambitious, proactive and motivated by a genuine route to Partner.
