Job summary

Pivotal Recruitment Limited in Meath is actively seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to oversee payroll, accounting records and financial reporting. You will support the CFO and help ensure compliance with Irish VAT and Revenue requirements while driving process improvements and automation.

The role requires a qualified or part-qualified accountant with hands-on payroll experience and strong Excel skills, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant with relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reconciliations and general ledger processes.
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the CFO in day-to-day management of the finance function.
• Oversee payroll administration and Irish payroll compliance.
• Oversee sales commission calculations and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain financial records and reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes and financial reporting.
• Support the preparation of management accounts for senior management.
• Ensure VAT and Revenue compliance and statutory reporting.
• Manage subcontractor administration including RCT.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Maintain strong financial controls and drive process improvements.
• Support implementation of new financial systems and automation.
