Job summary

Logiskills Group in Shannon is seeking an Air Import Clerk to arrange and monitor shipments from origin to destination. This full-time, office-based role offers opportunities to work with a professional international logistics team.

You will track and trace air import files, handle data entry, and maintain compliance. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in air freight or is a recent Supply Chain graduate, with IATA preferred.

Qualifications

• Min 1 year experience in Air Freight Forwarding Operations.
• IATA Certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment.
• Pro-active, well-organized and IT literate.
• Good command of MS Excel and MS Word.
• Fluent English; full-time, onsite; no visa restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Accurate data entry into operating system.
• Track and trace Air Import files.
• Ensure timely delivery of import shipments.
• Prepare and send documents for customs purposes.
• Bill clients and vendors accurately and promptly.
• Interact with customers to arrange shipments.
• Maintain relationships with vendors (airlines, trucking firms).
• Comply with all regulations.

Title: Air Import Clerk

Leading international logistics company based in Shannon now seek an experienced Air Import Freight Forwarding Clerk. The purpose of the role is to arrange & monitor shipments for customers from pick up at origin to delivery at destination. The client is proud of the professional, friendly environment their staff have created with many employees with the company for over five years.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
• Track and trace Air Import files as required.
• Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for Import shipments.
• Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendors billing.
• Interact with customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards.
• Contribute to maintain strong relationships with vendors (airlines, trucking companies, and others).
• Meet compliance at all times to regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Min 1 years' experience in Air Freight Forwarding Operations. (or recent Supply Chain Graduate)
• IATA Certification is preferred
• Effective interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels
• Ability work in a fast moving, pressurized environmental
• Pro-active approach, strong organizational and computer skills
• Good computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word)
• Fluent in English with an ability to work full-time, permanently, onsite and unrestricted by any time-based visa limitations.
