We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented person to join our team as an Accounts & Office Administrator.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day administration of the Accounts Department and wider office, working closely with the Accounts, Sales and Livestock teams.
Full training will be provided on our internal systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Administration
- Assist with the day-to-day administration of the Accounts Department.
- Process and maintain accurate records of sales invoices, purchase invoices, payments, receipts and credit notes.
- Assist with customer and supplier account reconciliations.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and accounts payable/receivable.
- Monitor outstanding customer and supplier balances and assist with resolving queries.
- Assist with month-end accounting procedures, ensuring all relevant transactions and documentation are complete and accurately recorded.
- Prepare schedules, reports and supporting information for management and the external accountant.
- Maintain an accurate and organised filing system for financial documentation.
General Office Administration
- Maintain and improve office systems, procedures and workflows.
- Ensure accurate data entry and effective use of the company's CRM system.
- Assist the Sales and Livestock teams with general administration and documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of documentation associated with livestock sales and exports.
- Maintain accurate and organised company records.
- Carry out other administrative duties as required.
- Previous experience in accounts administration, bookkeeping, office administration or a similar role would be an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Good numerical and record-keeping abilities.
- An understanding of basic accounting principles would be beneficial.
- Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience with accounting software or CRM systems would be beneficial.
- Ability to work accurately with large volumes of information and records.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines, particularly around month end.
- Self-motivated, reliable and proactive, with a practical approach to problem-solving.
- An Accountancy or Business qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Experience in social media; creating videos for YouTube and TikTok.
- Work Hours: Standard office hours, with occasional Saturday work during busy periods.
