Candidates should have a Bachelor of Laws and over 10 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably within logistics or e-commerce. This role involves managing licenses, overseeing disputes, and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in a legal department or reputable law firm.
- Experience in logistics or e-commerce is advantageous.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage corporate secretarial matters and necessary licenses.
- Oversee HR-related disputes and commercial litigation.
- Lead and develop the legal team for quality service delivery.

- Handle corporate secretarial matters and manage the procurement and renewal of all necessary business, corporate and other licences and permits.
- Manage HR-related disputes, disputes with shippers and commercial litigation.
- Function head responsible for managing legal and regulatory matters in Philippines.
- Lead and develop legal team to deliver high quality legal services in a fast-paced environment and ensuring that legal advice is commercially-savvy and legally defensible.
- Designing and implementing country-level legal processes, policies and training relating to contract process compliance and mitigation of legal and regulatory risks.
- Advising on, negotiating and preparing commercial contracts, supplier contracts and tender bid response.
- Bachelor of Laws in Philippines laws from a leading university.
- 10 years or more experience from a legal department of a company and reputable law firm.
- Having these attributes would give the candidate an advantage
- Experience working in the logistics or e-commerce industry or any other reputable startup
- Knowledge about IT systems, cloud hosting and SaaS.
