Job summary

Flocqua in Indonesia seeks an experienced Water & Wastewater Process Engineer to lead design and execution of water and wastewater treatment consultancy and EPC projects. You will develop process designs, perform simulations and calculations, review PFDs and P&IDs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.

Travel across Indonesia is expected. Ideal candidates have a minimum of 3 years in water/wastewater process design, strong analytical skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment design.
• Strong understanding of physical, chemical and biological wastewater processes.
• Knowledge of biological treatment, membrane technologies, sludge handling, and advanced treatment.
• Ability to prepare and review engineering calculations, specifications, and design criteria.
• Proven experience with PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, and treatment system design.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Water & Wastewater Treatment Consultancy & EPC Projects

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Water & Wastewater Process Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and execution of water and wastewater treatment consultancy and EPC projects.

This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary and international professionals, and develop your expertise in water and wastewater treatment engineering.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and review process designs for water and wastewater treatment systems.

Prepare process calculations, design criteria, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

Select, evaluate, and optimize appropriate water and wastewater treatment technologies.

Prepare equipment specifications, technical datasheets, design documentation, and other process-related deliverables.

Perform process simulations, hydraulic calculations, mass balances, water balances, and treatment performance evaluations.

Evaluate treatment processes and develop technically and economically appropriate solutions.

Coordinate with MEP, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines.

Provide technical support during project execution, operator training, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting.

Participate in client meetings and present technical solutions and recommendations.

Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals and other project documentation as required.

Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering methods, design standards, and technical solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Water/Wastewater Engineering related background

Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in water and/or wastewater treatment process design.

Strong understanding of physical, chemical, and biological wastewater treatment processes.

Good knowledge of treatment processes and technologies, including:

Biological wastewater treatment

Membrane technologies, including membrane modelling & simulation, and application

Sludge treatment and management

Other advanced water and wastewater treatment technologies

Ability to prepare and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, design criteria, and engineering documents.

Demonstrated experience with PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, and treatment system design.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Professional, respectful, and courteous when communicating with clients, colleagues, contractors, suppliers, and business partners.

Previous experience in EPC, engineering consultancy, or water/wastewater treatment projects is highly desirable.

Willingness to learn, take ownership, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary and international team.

Willing to travel to project sites across Indonesia.
