Job summary

PT ENGREEN TECHNOLOGY INDONESIA, based in West Java, seeks a Chemical Engineer to join its team in Cikarang Pusat. This full-time role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing water treatment systems for data center cooling infrastructure, ensuring water quality, minimizing corrosion and scaling, and improving reliability across mission-critical facilities.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, 1–3 years of WTP experience, strong knowledge of water/wastewater

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 1–3 years experience in Water Treatment Plant (WTP) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes (filtration, RO, ion exchange, cooling water, boiler water, chemical dosing).
• Proficient in preparing technical and operational reports, with data analysis in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes and systems for water treatment.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects.
• Monitor and analyze water treatment processes for efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions to ensure operational continuity.
• Prepare technical reports, process docs, and engineering drawings for projects.
• Collaborate with operations, QA, and maintenance teams for project execution.
• Perform lab testing to validate process improvements and product quality.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Support project planning and budgeting with technical expertise.

About the role

We are seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our team at our facility in Cikarang Pusat, West Java. This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge chemical engineering processes and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. A Chemical Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing water treatment systems that support the reliable and efficient operation of Data Centre cooling infrastructure. The engineer ensures that water quality meets stringent operational standards to maximize equipment performance, minimize corrosion and scaling, and improve the overall reliability and sustainability of mission-critical facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes and systems to meet project specifications and performance requirements
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new chemical engineering projects and initiatives
• Monitor and analyze chemical production processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions to maintain operational continuity
• Prepare detailed technical reports, process documentation, and engineering drawings for projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality assurance, and maintenance to ensure seamless project execution
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis to validate process improvements and product quality
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all engineering activities
• Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise to support project timelines and budgets

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
• 1–3 years of Experience in Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, including filtration, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange, cooling water, boiler water, chemical dosing, and wastewater treatment systems.
• Good knowledge of chemical treatment programs, water quality analysis, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Ability to interpret laboratory results and water quality parameters.
• Proficient in preparing technical reports, operational reports, and data analysis using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, principals, and international teams.
• Strong report writing, presentation, and technical documentation skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to travel and conduct on-site visits and Project location as required.
• Knowledge of Indonesian chemical industry standards and regulations is advantageous
