About the role

Poppys Kitchen and Bar is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Waiter to join our hospitality team in North Kuta, Bali. This is a full-time position based on-site at our restaurant and bar. As a Waiter, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and plays a key part in our daily operations.

Key responsibilities

Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and providing them with menus and beverages as requested

Taking accurate food and drink orders from customers and communicating these clearly to the kitchen and bar teams

Serving food and beverages promptly, professionally and with attention to detail, ensuring correct presentation and temperature

Maintaining knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods and recommendations

Addressing guest inquiries and special requests with courtesy and efficiency

Ensuring tables are set correctly before service and cleared promptly after guests have finished

Managing multiple tables simultaneously whilst maintaining high standards of service

Processing payments and handling cash and card transactions accurately

Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area, including floors, tables and service stations

Collaborating effectively with kitchen, bar and housekeeping staff to ensure seamless service

Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times

What we’re looking for

Prior experience working as a Waiter or in a similar hospitality service role within a restaurant, bar or hotel environment

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests from diverse backgrounds

Strong attention to detail and accuracy when taking orders and processing payments

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining composure under pressure

Physical capability to stand for extended periods, carry trays and move between tables regularly

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

Proficiency in English; additional languages such as Indonesian or Mandarin are advantageous

Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and dining etiquette

A positive attitude, team spirit and genuine desire to deliver outstanding customer service

Reliability and punctuality in attendance
