About the role

Nongbu Market is seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiters/Waitresses to join our hospitality team in Badung, Bali. This is a full-time position where you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining our high service standards, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant operations.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming guests with a warm, professional demeanour upon arrival

Presenting menus and providing knowledgeable recommendations about food and beverage offerings

Taking accurate orders from guests and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff

Delivering food and beverages to tables in a timely and attentive manner, ensuring presentation standards are met

Checking in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly

Processing payments and handling transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems

Clearing and resetting tables between service periods to maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment

Assisting with opening and closing duties, including setup and breakdown of dining areas

Maintaining knowledge of allergens, dietary requirements and special requests to ensure guest safety

Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods

Upholding hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with restaurant policies and local regulations

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a waiter or waitress in a restaurant or hospitality establishment, ideally in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests from diverse backgrounds

Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding order accuracy and table presentation

Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays and move efficiently around the restaurant

Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other restaurant technology

Knowledge of food and beverage service protocols and dining etiquette

Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic and positive attitude

Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst remaining flexible during peak service times

Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are advantageous

Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one

Understanding of health and safety standards in food service environments
